Awakening Yoga isn’t about performing the perfect pose or chasing the next advanced shape. It’s a method, a modern map, that invites you to explore your body with curiosity, intention, and respect.
Co-founded by myself and Patrick Beach, Awakening Yoga blends traditional movement rituals with modern biomechanics, offering a practice that’s both grounded and expansive. It’s designed to meet you where you are, whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or deepening a decades-long practice.
At its core, Awakening Yoga is about:
• Purposeful Movement: Each sequence is crafted to support the body as a means to support the breath, to carry the mind, and bolster the spirit.
• Sustainable Practice: Encouraging longevity in your movement journey, focusing on how you feel rather than how you look.
• Substance over Style: Strength and Stability are what keep us moving so we spend less time on deep dive flexibility driven asana, and more on the happy balance of whats feel good - and functional.
